We saw people struggling alone and knew something had to change. The idea was simple but urgent, born from listening to what the community actually needed.
2019
First conversations about what isolation was doing to people in Rotherham.
2020
Launched our first support group with a handful of people willing to be vulnerable together.
2021
Expanded to multiple groups as word spread about what we were building here.
2022
Trained our first peer supporters who understood the work from lived experience.
2023
Became embedded in Rotherham's community fabric with growing trust and participation.

Still here, still listening, still building something that matters to real people.

We didn't start with a plan or a strategy document. We started with people telling us they were lonely, that the systems around them felt cold, that they needed somewhere real to belong. That's what S62 is. A response to what we heard.
