A little bit about Sascha and why she joined RAW People - I have lived and worked in Rotherham for my whole life (though I wont tell you how long that is in years!)
My career journey has been pretty diverse, so to put it in a nutshell, it has included Communication, SEND, psychoeducation, therapeutic work, Domestic Abuse, CSE and Community projects. The common thread has always been connection.
I am a Neurodivergent Mum, of a Neurodivergent family, and I have seen and experienced difficult times. I strongly believe my connections and support networks have given me the strength to recover and grow, and create the life we now have and I truly value those organisations who are building this type of support for local people.
I am confident that what RAW People are one of those valuable organisations that are making a massive difference to people's lives, and I am excited to be a part of the next step of that journey.

Depression is real. It can affect your ability to carry out the most basic functions in life. Often it feels like nothing will ever change. But you are on this website, and that is the first step forward.
Loneliness and Isolation
Feeling lonely or isolated is horrid. Human connection, community, and friendship is a basic requirement for anyone to be happy. Choosing to join one of our groups can offer you all of that, and more.
Men’s Mental Health Struggles
A space for men to talk openly about the pressures they face, share experiences, and support each other in a respectful and relaxed environment.
