Meet Nic

I’m new to volunteering with RAW People but certainly not new to volunteering or supporting individuals and groups in the community. I’m passionate about being an ambassador for my hometown of Rotherham and love connecting with others in the voluntary sector. I have a long history of working with groups, particularly young women and girls. Outside of my new role with RAW People, I volunteer at Junior Parkrun every Sunday morning at Rosehill Park in Rawmarsh and for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. In my free time (when I’m not volunteering!), I enjoy spending time outdoors. You’ll often find me working on my allotment, walking in the countryside, or exploring National Trust and English Heritage sites. I’m also a big fan of local rugby and have proudly supported the Rotherham Titans for over 25 years. I’m married and a proud mum to two amazing twin boys. Alongside all of this, I work full-time for Voluntary Action Rotherham as a Cancer Awareness Training Coordinator. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and being part of the amazing work RAW People does in our community!
